The Time Traveler's Wife ~ Audrey Niffenegger; 518
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban ~ J. K. Rowling; 435

Grand Total = 2,407 pages to be read by the end of... well, it's soon.

I'm doomed. Yet, I meet my fate willingly. After all, I'm the one that checked them all out from the library. If only other people didn't love books so much, then I could horde them all and renew, renew, renew. But alas... it is not so.

Books are .

Ramblings

  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: Please Don't Make Me Love You -Dracula Musical
  • Reading: Society of S
  • Watching: Lord Phillock's Animated LOTR Dubbed Over
  • Playing: Microsoft Word is not a game. ;)
I just saw an ad for Legend of the Seeker Season 1 on DVD! :boogie: Happy dance! Yes, I realize the show is quite cheesy and blah... blah... blah... and you can tell me the books are far better, but I simply don't believe you. Usually, I'm a book purist, but I did in fact, read Wizard's First Rule and am partially through Stone of Tears, and I still prefer the oft times cheesy show. I like Australian guys. I'm shameless, I know. I also enjoy how the show tones down the Mord-Sith parts. I didn't need fifty pages of torture, thanks. Aaaanyway...

I guess I'm rambling because I really don't know who reads these journals of mine and so I don't have a reason to be precise with my langua--- Guess what?! I have a job!! Yeah! I work at Kohl's as a credit associate, which sounds super important. And it is. Don't believe anyone who tells you we stand around greeting customers for hours and hours and barely anything else. Plugging in Kohl's card applications is a complicated and arduous process that requires a highly stimulated acumen. We're practically salt miners.

Having a job is nice. It gives me something to do, gives me money for Europe funds, and forces me into a schedule. The bad thing is that it leaves me next to no artistic energy for writing and photography. MY ART SUFFERS!!! :cries: Nuuuuuu!!

Anyway... I have to go get ready for church now. I'm hungry. I think Mum made us French Toast. Which is not even French. I'll bet it was made in China. =P

Fare thee well!!

On to Europe!

  • Listening to: Say it Again - Marie Digby
  • Reading: Storm Thief
  • Watching: Little Dorrit
  • Eating: Ice Cream!!!
Today I got my driver's license. :)

On the first try. :O

Zero errors. :D

I'm so happy! :boogie:

This means so much for me!
It means that my grandpa, mother, and father were all excellent driving instructors.
It means that I can provide ID when I apply for jobs.
It means that I can buy a lotto ticket, just because I'm 18, and I want to. Just once.
It means that I can drive to and from a job.
It means that I can now begin the process of getting my passport.

All of this leads up to... Europe. Europe in the summer. Ah! London, Paris, Rome, HERE I COME!!!

God has blessed me. I love him forever. And ever, and ever, and ever...
Going to go celebrate with ice cream. :D

1) What is your deviant-name and what does it mean?
My name; Bethany M. W. Nickname; Bethie. I created it as a more artsy name than my normal, every day one.

2) Why did you join this site?
At first it was just to comment on other artwork, but soon I decided I had some skills in photography and wanted to show them off.

3) What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined?
Phantom. Always Phantom, my dears. ;) :rose: I have inummerable interests, though. I'm quite a geeky little gal when it comes right down to it.

4) Were any of the fandoms you have currently brought about by this site?
No new ones; only old ones strengthened.

5) Look into your stats. What is your:
- Most Favorited Deviation: "Lost in Tulle"
- Most Viewed Deviation: "Le Chateau des Charmes"
- Most Commented Deviation: "Star Wars: KOTOR Meme"
These are all educated guesses because the stats section is not working for me. Here's another interested factoid: I give approximately 15 comments for every 10 I recieve. Me, chatty? Noooo!

6) How many watchers do you have at this moment?
Fourteen.

7) First ever watcher?
I think it was :iconseverianos:

8) How many pageviews do you have at this moment?
1,714

9) What is your artist's title shown beneath your "status"?
General Digital Photographer

10) What is your most "meaningful" work?
Any candid moment of someone I care about is meaningful to me.

11) Best COMPLETED piece you ever did?
I don't really submit anything that's not "completed." There are a lot of pieces here that I'm exceptionally proud of. Including "Golden Dance" "Remodeled" "Angelina" and "Le Chateau des Charmes," to name a few.

12) Work that took the longest?
"Chateau des Charmes" took me about three days to write. Everything else was point and shoot. =P Except for self portraits. I had to set up the camera timer for those.

13) DA artist who has influenced you the most?
:iconiron-gibbet: for always luring me to the site with his comics. :icontm2cruz: for making my plainer art pop, and :iconolde-fashioned: for details discussions on the wondrousness of the 19th century.

14) What is currently the funnest thing to draw?
Ooo... there's a reason why I'm a photographer. I have no drawing talent. I have fun drawing random things with crayons.

Easiest thing to draw?
Hobbit holes and houses with little fences in front.

15) Your first ever giftart was to:
Probably my Mum, at a homeschool group craft thing. We did macaroni art. For real.

First ever giftart received was from:
Oh, I don't know. I'm taking "giftart" literally, you know.

16) How many clubs are you in?
There are clubs here!?!?!

17) How long have you been here?
One year.

18) Are you on any other art sites?
Not unless you count writing sites.

19) Can you remember the old DA layout?
No, I have no memory of this.

20) Are you still as passionate about art/poetry/prose as when you joined this site?
Iiii have come here, that my passions may fuse and merge! Okay... creepy points for me. :P

Shame! Shame! Shame!

Wed Feb 4, 2009, 8:10 PM
Since I've had my last journal entry up for an age, I decided it was time for something new. Instead of surveys, quizzes, and random things I copied and filled out, I am now going to shamelessly advertise my co-owed video site. Hey, it is also my art!

[link]

Videos are mostly scripted and directed by my best friend Sara, and acting is mostly done by me. Right now, we just have our Mr. Crackahs movie and tv spoofs up, but eventually there should be more diverse content, like an advice vlog or a series of things to do before you die. :)
Enjoy! :eager:
